OpenAI’s Sora To Debut At Tribeca Film Festival
For the first time, the Tribeca Film Festival is all set to honour text-to-video short films created by Sora, an OpenAI initiative. The collaboration of OpenAI and the Tribeca Film Festival aims to empower the use of Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence). Under this initiative, five short films made using this tool will be featured at the revered event in New York, the United States of America on June 15, 2024.
“Tribeca is rooted in the foundational belief that storytelling inspires change. Humans need stories to thrive and make sense of our wonderful and broken world,” stated Jane Rosenthal, the co-founder and CEO of Tribeca Enterprises, in an official statement, “Sometimes these stories come to us as a feature film, an immersive experience, a piece of art, or even an AI-generated short film. I can’t wait to see what this group of fiercely creative Tribeca alumni come up with.”
