The 2024 Samsung 8K TV models include a collection of AI features that are impactful upgrades to the experience; improving the image on screen, automatic changes based on what you are watching and an exciting accessibility option. While putting the Samsung 75QN800D 8K TV through extended testing we’ve identified a number of AI features that we use every day.
For the 2024 Samsung TV models users will find AI features that they will use every day, even if they don’t need to think about it. The features that we use the most, exist in the background improving the experience, by switching settings and optimizing the experience automatically. There are also impressive AI accessibility features on select models including an audio subtitle feature that is really cool.
You’ll find the best AI features on the Samsung 8K TVs that include the most powerful processors, but there is impactful AI in many of the 2024 Samsung models.
Samsung AI Video and Sound Features

The 2024 Samsung TVs include AI powered 8K upscaling and 4K upscaling. The model we are using features 8K AI Upscaling, which leverages the NQ8 Gen2 processor and 256 Neural networks to accurately upscale images to 8K. This is very welcome feature, since there is very little 8K content that we can actually watch on a daily basis.
With AI upscaling, the TV analyzes the images on the screen and adapts the upscaling to the specific type of content, delivering pixel level tweaks that result in a better image, and that looks more accurate than standard upscaling.
Another area that this tech upgrades my viewing experience is while watching sports thanks to the AI Motion Enhancer feature that recognizes the sport on your screen based on the scoreboard, equipment and other details. The system then uses a sport-specific ball detection algorithm to keep the ball visible. This is especially useful while watching sports streamed online that can arrive at a lower FPS.
The AI image settings allow you to choose specific options that best represent how you want a content type to look.

The feature that we use the most on the QN800D is the AI customization mode that automatically detects what we are watching. After a simple initial setup, the TV identifies if we are watching a movie, sports or standard TV, and automatically changes the settings to deliver the best picture options.
An updated Active Voice Amplifier Pro feature can now enhance just the voice when people are talking on screen, without boosting the background noise or music. This makes it easier to hear what is going on and has removed the need for us to rewind to figure out what an actor said.
The AI powered audio subtitles use screen reading technology to read subtitles for the visually impaired.

Closely related to this, is a really cool accessibility feature that is available on the QN85 and higher models. Samsung offers an Audio Subtitle feature that brings subtitled content to the over 200 million visually impaired people who can’t easily read subtitles.
This HDMI screen subtitle reading technology uses AI to detect subtitles, remove any non-subtitle text behind them and then reads it though a text to speech engine. This works for English subtitles and it will expand to Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.

Samsung’s Auto Game mode uses AI to identify the type of game you are playing and adjust the settings for the best experience.

As the video game release cycle picked back up this summer, we’ve appreciated the AI powered Game Picture Mode and Game Sound Mode features. We love the AI powered auto game mode feature almost more than any other on the 75QN800D. With Auto Game Mode selected on the Game Bar, the TV can switch between the best settings for RPG, RTS, FPS and sports games automatically.
As we switch between Call of Duty, Madden 25, NCAA College Football 25, Fall Guys and other favorites, the TV switches to the best settings. Before this feature we would need to remember to open the settings and switch, which is easy to forget as you bounce between football and a first person shooter.
While we use headphones for much of our gaming, the Game Sound Mode can automatically switch between Action, Sports, Fighting, Rhythm, Racing presets so that we get the best audio experience.
