Workflow automation company Tines Security Services Ltd. today announced the launch of agents, a new product feature that introduces autonomous artificial intelligence capabilities directly into its platform.
The new agents offering allows customers to automate workflows with maximum control and flexibility, whether with deterministic logic, human-in-the-loop copilots or full AI autonomy. Tines customers can use agents to build intelligent, context-aware workflows that can act independently, suggest next steps and collaborate with users in real time.
Agents allow customers of Tines automation platform to choose the right level of AI involvement for every workflow to ensure that organizations can implement AI automation that aligns with their specific security requirements, levels of complexity and operational needs.
Tines’ agents differ from traditional AI implementations that require external data sharing or compromise on security, instead running entirely within the platform’s secure infrastructure. Doing so ensures no customer data leaves the environment, is logged or is used for training, with the result delivering the privacy and governance assurances that enterprise teams demand.
“AI is the antidote to undifferentiated, repetitive muckwork, but only if it can be easily put to use by humans,” said Tines co-founder and Chief Executive Eoin Hinchy. “Otherwise, you’re left with huge investments in AI and not a lot to show for them. Tines puts the power of AI directly into our fingertips by allowing humans to easily control exactly where and how AI is being used within mission-critical work, all while being safeguarded by best-in-class security and guardrail protocols.”
Tines supports flexible orchestration across diverse environments by integrating with any tool, large language model or proprietary app. It’s supported by a no-code design that makes it easier for security and operations teams to build and manage intelligent workflows, even for complex or regulated use cases.
The agents offering also supports user adoption through features that boost accessibility and return on investment. Tines customers can deploy chatbots, apps and real-time integrations with platforms such as Slack to ensure automation is not only powerful but practical in everyday use.
“This is just the beginning,” added Hinchy. “Agents mark a shift toward workflow systems that adapt to teams, not the other way around. They advance our mission to redefine intelligent automation for the enterprise: powerful, secure and finally usable where it matters most.”
Tines is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $272 million over six rounds, including a round of $125 million in February. Investors in the company include Goldman Sachs Group Inc., SoftBank Vision Fund LP, Activant Capital Group, Accel Partners LP, Felicis Ventures Management Co., Addition and CrowdStrike Holdings Inc.
