That was all me half a year ago.
In this article, I will write about thevideo AI I have been paying for for half a yearafter trying various things following Sora, along with actual numbers, and even myhonest weaknesses.
Wandering around after Sora became unavailable
Since I was able to use Sora for free, I was really in trouble when it became unavailable.
From there, I searched for alternatives and tried many video AIs.I was pushed around by models that didn’t work, and it cost me both money and time.
The conclusion was that there is no “one tool for everything.”
However,for videos with movement, Higgsfield is my only choice right now.
What is Higgsfield? The most important way to use it
Higgsfield is a service where you canuse the latest video and image AI that has become a hot topic on social media directly on one siteThe biggest appeal is that you don’t have to register and pay for separate services for each model.
But what I want to convey most in this article is not the tool, but theway to use it.
No matter how many times you retry with the same model, you will usually make similar mistakes. Rather than that,it is often much easier to get things done by instantly switching models and trying them outinstead.
Because I can do that within one site, I have been able to continue for half a year.
What changed after using it for half a year

Since I can create things by changing models, my frustration has decreased significantly.
For example, I tried creating ‘fighting game style’ images using the same prompt across four different models.
Even though the instructions are identical word-for-word, the art style changes completely. For anime style, there’s Seedream; for realistic 3D, there’s FLUX; and for a game-screen look, there’s Nano Banana. Being able to ‘switch and compare’ like this within a single site is Higgsfield’s greatest strength.
Moreover, with my Plus plan, these four images are all from unlimited-use models, so not a single credit was deducted. For images, you can do this kind of comparison as many times as you want for free. (As of November 2026. Eligible models vary by plan and time period.)

So, what kind of videos can you actually make? Take a look at the real thing. Everything was created solely with Higgsfield.

Animate the single best image using a video model

If the movement is subtle, before retrying, change the model
By refining the image first before making it a video, you won’t waste video credits.

Actual numbers and honest weaknesses
“But in the end, it’s credit-based, right?” you might be thinking. I thought so too.
Here are some results I created from images for use in my own YouTube videos.
When you want to save credits, the trick is to choose a lighter model (I use Seedance 2.0 Mini).
The expression of movement is quite good. However, there are weaknesses.
When I tried to make it speak long lines in Japanese, I had to redo it 5 or 6 times. Honestly, for speaking purposes, Grok’s video generation (premium plan) was better suited.
By the way, I also use it for business video production.
Even when connecting it to my own tools or AI agents, not having to pay separate API fees and
being able to use it directly from the plan’s credits (via MCP/CLI) is
also quietly convenient. I will write about this in detail in another article.
Pricing and Recommended Way to Start
Sora was free, but Higgsfield is a monthly subscription. However, considering the time and money I wasted jumping between free tools, I have decided that it is worth paying for.
You don’t need to jump straight to Plus.
Trying it with Starter first, and upgrading to Plus if you find it lacking is the best way to avoid mistakes.
