In a recent discussion with The Jakarta Post, Vince Randall, vice president, Adaptive Planning (APAC) at Workday elaborated how Indonesian organizations were acutely aware of the imperative for digital transformation and the role AI is playing in enhancing digital agility.
Last December, the Indonesian government launched The White Paper on National Strategy for the Development of Indonesia’s Digital Economy 2030. The white paper comes at an opportune time for the Indonesian digital economy, which has been recognized for its sizable contributions, of between 7.6 percent and 8.7 percent of the country’s GDP in 2022.
While the white paper acknowledges that the country is still in the early stages of digital economic development, an increasing number of Indonesian businesses are embracing new and upcoming technologies. At the same time, businesses are growing increasingly wary of issues from surges in data volume and the corresponding complexities of maintaining good data hygiene.
