Microsoft services including Copilot, Bing, ChatGPT web search are down globally

Several Microsoft services are experiencing a widespread outage across the world. Several users have reported that Microsoft Bing and Copilot services are unavailable on social media platform — X (formerly Twitter). Apart from this, the crowdsourced downtime reporting website — Downdetector — has also received several complaints about Microsoft Bing services being down.
Problems users are facing
According to the posts on X, users are unable to access Bing Search as well as the company’s AI chatbot — Copilot. A user has ported, “It’s not just you: Microsoft’s services are down in some regions. 1. #Bing is down 2. #Copilot / Copilot in Windows is down”.
“Is copilot down? I’m getting the Bing page when I try to get to the copilot site”, wrote another user.
Talking about Downdetector’s data, around 61% of people have reported that they are facing issues with Bing while accessing the website, 35% of them have reported accessing the search and the remaining have reported login issues.
TOI Tech also confirmed the outage by trying to access Bing and Copilot on Microsoft Edge and on Windows 11 PC. For us, both Bing and Copilot returned the error “It’s not you, it’s us
Bing isn’t available right now, but everything should be back to normal very soon.

ChatGPT web search is also down
As part of the ongoing outage with Bing, other services that rely on Bing API are also down. This includes ChatGPT’s web search feature that’s available for premium users.
This is not it. DuckDuck Go is down too. Considering that DuckDuck Go relies on Bing for search, users are also facing issues while accessing DuckDuck Go services.
Microsoft hasn’t confirmed the outage
Microsoft hasn’t yet confirmed the ongoing outage with Bing and Copilot and neither we know the reason behind the ongoing issue.
