Wowsers.
So there I was, happily doing my research regarding AI, when I came across:
Now, I don’t know about you, but…
This is either really thrilling OR terrifyingly scary, depending upon your opinion of AI.
I *do* know that Gadgets and Wearables wrote a few days ago:
Unlocking the power of ChatGPT on your Apple Watch
where they state:
“…There is currently no ChatGPT app available for iOS. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t people working on the software right now. And if they are not? Well they should be. In the meantime, you can use a workaround to get ChatGPT on your Apple Watch….”
and
“…To get ChatGPT working on your Apple Watch you can use the free iOS app called Shortcuts. This is an Apple visual scripting application that is available on the iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS operating systems. It enables users to create macros that perform specific tasks on their device. If it is not already installed on your iOS device, you can download it from the App Store.
As described by Fabian Heuwieser on Medium, the procedure consists of two steps:
- Obtaining your API key from OpenAI.Your API key starts with “sk-“. You can find it on this page. Log in with your credentials and then simply create a new secret key on that page and copy it.
- Creating the ChatGPT Shortcut on iOS.Open the Shortcuts app on your device and create a new shortcut. It consists of two parts. The fist is the input method – speech-to-txt or plain typing. The second is performing the API call to OpenAI and showing the response….”

Your takeaway?
You simply cannot get away from AI! Even if you choose to stick your head into the ground and state, “I would like to make it clear now I never want to talk about AI,” that does NOT mean the technology will stop.
It only means you will be left behind.
