AI tools are software applications that use Artificial Intelligence algorithms to perform tasks and solve problems. These tools can be utilised across various business sectors and industries for data analysis, fostering decision-making.AI tools can be used for preparing PowerPoint presentations, drafting documents, correcting grammar, paraphrasing, preparing collateral, data analysis through PDF documents, Excel documents, converting text to voice, voice to text, preparing videos, writing research papers, and many more tasks. One of the popular AI tools is ChatGPT which has 3.5 version and 4.0 version. ChatGPT-4.0 has more advanced capabilities compared to ChatGPT-3.5, allowing users to utilize plugins to perform various complex tasks. A plugin is a small software component that adds new features to an existing application, such as a website or mobile app. ChatGPT plugins are designed specifically for the AI model, enhancing its capabilities and allowing users to fully utilize its potential without altering the core program. Other popular AI tools include Grammarly, Tome, Playground, Gamma, ChatPDF, Consensus, Pictory, Canva, Midjourney, and many more. Each tool performs a specific function and can be used depending on the need and requirements. It is essential to remember various AI tools to perform various tasks and one need to learn the usage of Prompts. AI prompt writing also known as Prompt Engineering is the process to bring out output instructing the Generative AI to generate the expected or desired output. There is no fixed prompt and one can learn to use various prompts through trial-and-error methods.
One can learn AI tools by enrolling in a course or by exploring them independently. These tools are user-friendly and easy to learn. Additionally, there are many online videos demonstrating the usage of each tool. Maintaining a separate notebook to document the tools and their applications is helpful. Also, a paid subscription to ChatGPT-4.0 is beneficial, as it allows access to more tools and applications, while free usage has limited options and may not support complex tasks using plugins.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools have become essential at work. Generation Z is very comfortable with technology and AI as they have grown up with technology and internet. They are self-learners and have developed higher capabilities. This generation uses AI in their education and subsequently at work. As quick learners and highly adaptable to new technologies, it is crucial for the older workforce to learn AI to become productive and efficient. AI tools can save significant time and costs. It is never too late to start learning, as AI is still evolving and easy to learn & upgrade oneself. It requires an investment of time and resources with an exploratory mindset.
