Ringling College’s AI Symposium Returns This October

In a city like Sarasota brimming with artists & creatives, conversations and concerns around AI’s impact are at an all-time-high. For both professional and student creators across disciplines, securing a path for their future while responsibly embracing new technologies has been a challenging course to navigate, all while AI capabilities evolve at lightning speed.

Next month, Ringling College of Art + Design addresses this very reality across a two-day event focused on helping artists and creatives adapt for a changing future.

Ringling College’s annual Artificial Intelligence Symposium brings together educators, artists, and industry leaders to explore the intersection of AI, ethics, and creative innovation. The organizers’ mission is to advocate for and empower creatives, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to thrive in the AI era while facing the challenges created by emerging technologies.

This annual event brings together people from across the country to explore the impact of artificial intelligence on the art and design industries, offering lectures, workshops, and discussions on navigating emerging ethical and legal challenges.

Schedule Overview:

  • Friday, October 10: Talks by expert artists, developers, and educators exploring the theme of advocating for artists and designers in the age of AI.
  • Saturday, October 11: Hands-on demonstrations and workshops showcasing practical approaches to thriving as creatives in a world where AI is causing disruption.
