I wanted to say “First music video created by Sora”, but using the word ‘Create’ in that context is to be unfair to the numerous real artists that their footage were trained for this video. In my opinion, a creator who will use Sora for commercial videos is not an artist, but a thief. If you want to be a thief, go ahead and use Sora. That’s fine! Anyway, the first music video made by Sora has been published. In my opinion, it looks ugly and bizarre. Some commenters concluded that in a very efficient way, stating that “Sora was definitely trained on a dataset of nightmares”, as it looks like a nightmare. Many shots of cars and supermarkets, AI-generated trash, and objects with strange to zero expressions on their faces. Low resolution (because of the very long rendering times), creepy and disturbing. The Sora user told NFS that it took 6 weeks to generate the video: “I generated almost 700 clips to make this video, and I think I used about 55 or 56 of them. Generations with Sora can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on how much you’re using it, how long your clips are, and how big of a resolution. I worked on it for I guess about six weeks or something”. Indeed, it takes a ton of time and a ton of editing work just to assemble these someone else’s footage. You’d better take your camera and start shooting instead. It may take you much less time, and you will be doing real art. Imagine that you write a prompt, and wait an hour for a one-minute clip that you cannot anticipate the result. It’s a waste of time, especially for commercial use.
